Opportunities to Advocate

Compelled by our faith in God and our commitment to the dignity of human life, LIRS speaks and acts boldly on behalf of adults, children and families to ensure their fair and ethical treatment. With courage, integrity and compassion, we are called to speak out for those whose voices have been muted by unjust policies and inhospitable attitudes.

Speak Up!

“Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Protect the rights of all who are helpless.” —Proverbs 31:8

“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” —Micah 6:8

We invite you to join us in our advocacy efforts. Ask public officials to enact just laws and reason with those who would close their doors and their hearts to people in need. Whether you take a few moments to write a letter to your senator or make a long-term commitment to speak out on behalf of LIRS's mission and work, your voice can make a vital difference.
